Some believe that it would not be a true Gensic Family Meeting without the discussion of certain agenda topics. Therefore, we propose the question: “comb overs – are they back in style?”
I see that this is an agenda topic which requires a vote.
Question.
Do you have to have hair to vote on this one?
Dad,
Let me get this straight…you have now at least co-submitted an agenda topic for The Gensic Family Meeting. Congratulations, you are halfway to ensuring that you won’t face voting privilege probationary status.
Check out the “Voting Privilege Probationary Punishment” agenda topic to see what I’m talking about…
Two initial questions:
Is the proper spelling “Combover” or “Comb Over”?
Does Paul get to vote on this subject?
A tidbit of history that Sam forgot to add in the description of this blog: The question “Comb-overs (i believe the dictionary hyphenates this word) are they back in style?” was the first agenda item ever for the Gensic Family Meeting, and not only has it been an agenda item every year since, it has been dismissed!
That is why this question is important. and it will continue to be an agenda item until we finally vote on it. So the question stands; Comb-overs…are they back in style for 2009?
For the record, I didn’t forget to add anything to the description of this agenda topic. I consciously made a decision to write what I wrote.
But I’m glad that Matt has added this information to this thread.
Yes, Webster hyphenates the word. However, in the world of words and information, I would argue that the other big W is more important. Therefore, I went with Wikipedia as a resource for this one. Wiki says combover or comb over.
I went with two words. Why? Primarily because this involves a 1) comb and 2) hair. Also, it involves 1) hair from the side of the head being combed over to 2) the other side of the head (covering the bald spot).
Someone should submit a poll to see if Paul should be able to vote on this one or not.
WHAAAATTT????? First of all, as the baldest guy in the family, this topic is most applicable to me. Cause if I grew my hair out I would have the sickest combover of the family.
Paul,
Maybe(you would have the sickest comb over). But, it depends on if comb overs are back in style or not. If they’re not…well, my friend, you’ll just have to settle for the sickest “Mr Howell” style hair do of the family.
Either way, I think you should get a vote.
It doesn’t matter what you think Ben, no matter how much you liked Mr. Howell in 6th grade. Methinks the only way Paulie is getting a vote for this one is if he wins his Poll.
even though i check this blog everyday, i am really confused with the latest developement of polls and plethora of agenda items…
Well Sam, in a year, methinks you won’t get to vote on this topic either…
Bald Samuel? If that happens, Sam should be forced to keep the “Monk” look going. No hair on top and tufts of hair on the sides.
In fact I propose a new poll….
If Sam is the second Gensic brother to go bald, what look should he sport?
1. Bald w/ Monk style side hair
2. Bald w/ a Captain Hook mustache (optional hook accessory)
3. Plain Bald w/ squeaky head polish.
4. Bald with eye patch
haha jake is so funny.
i vote #4!
what did we decide for the family meeting this year? that combovers were NOT in style. what a shame
